After tying her hair, Caitlyn took a deep breath and walked over to Leon with the medical kit Germaine left behind.
Leon looked at her eagerly. And they stared at each other for a moment.
“Let’s go to your room. The couch is too small for this.”
“Okay…”
Entering his bedroom, Leon took off his shoes and sat on the bed.
Caitlyn hesitated for a moment, moved everything aside, then looked at him and said softly with her eyes slightly lowered, “Can you turn around? I need to take off the bandage first:”
Leon obediently did as she asked.
Facing each other was a bit awkward. Not seeing his face made Caitlyn feel much calmer.
Caitlyn didn’t waste time. After some preparation, she picked up scissors and saline solution and started cutting the bandages.
She frowned slightly as she carefully peeled back the bandages; they were still somewhat stuck to his skin.
There was no choice but to slowly soak the gauze with saline solution so she could peel it away gently.
Caitlyn tried her best to be gentle, but Leon’s body was still tense–he must have been in pain.
Sighing with a complex look in her eyes, she muttered softly, “So why did you get so worked up back then?
“Even though you wanted revenge, you could have planned it out slowly… You know that saying ‘revenge is a dish best served cold‘?
“With your abilities, gathering a group of people, you have every chance to eliminate all those you want to kill and make a clean getaway.
“Even if not, it wouldn’t come down to almost losing your life like this?”
Leon replied in a muffled voice, “I always take my revenge right away. I don’t like dragging things out.”
“Hmph! So now you’re suffering…” Caitlyn squinted as she finally removed the bandage from his back.
The wound was still quite alarming; there seemed to be some force tearing inside it. But compared to before, it had healed significantly.
‘Hmm… It’s only been a few days. The injury from the Law of Power has healed so quickly. This guy’s body is seriously freakish.‘ Caitlyn felt somewhat amazed, but couldn’t help showing concern in her eyes.
After all, he was a friend now. Seeing him suffer made her uncomfortable too.
Three major wounds-
-on his back, waist, and chest–the rest of the minor injuries weren’t that serious anymore.
Watching the battered and broken body in front of her, Caitlyn grew silent, her eyes blazing with mounting fury.
At least, he was an Alliance hero, yet he ended up like this at the hands of his own people.
The only thing that made Caitlyn feel better was that whoever injured him probably died instantly.
However, Everett Thomson seemed to have participated in attacking Leon, too he got seriously injured but survived.
Caitlyn squinted slightly, unconsciously applying a bit more pressure with her hand.

Leon gasped sharply, sweat pouring down his forehead.
“Sor… sorry…” Caitlyn’s eyes flickered with panic as she quickly apologized.
“It’s… fine… feels good…” Leon said through gritted teeth.
Caitlyn paused, giving him a look that was a mix of amusement, guilt, and concern. ‘This idiot is a masochist, huh?‘
“Looks like it won’t take too long to heal. Lord Radford, your physique is still pretty good.”
“You bet!”
“After all, having endured my beatings for over a decade, the body’s been well–tempered.”
Leon’s face darkened, while Caitlyn’s lips curled up slightly.
She started unwrapping the bandage around his waist.
Luckily, this part wasn’t stuck to his flesh, saving her some discomfort.
Caitlyn carefully disinfected the wound. Although for someone like Leon, normal human viruses wouldn’t affect him much.
But even if it sped up the healing just a bit, this step wasn’t unnecessary.
As she disinfected, Caitlyn’s cheeks slowly turned red.
Leon’s figure was great, broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and with a strong core. Her gaze followed the wound downward.
Caitlyn took a light breath and suddenly reached out to tug down his pants

bit.
Leon stiffened all over, his body instinctively tightening, and he turned back to look at her in disbelief.
Caitlyn blushed and whispered, “Lift it up a bit. I need to disinfect.”
‘Lift it up… How am I supposed to lift it up?‘ Leon stayed silent.
Fortunately, Caitlyn didn’t push it. She just pulled his pants down a little

“Caitlyn, you’re taking advantage of me…” he muttered softly.

After reapplying the medicine, Caitlyn let out a long sigh and slumped weakly at the end of the bed.
Her heart was pounding like it was about to explode, and her whole body was boiling with blood.
Weird, changing the medicine for him made her feel all hot.
She tugged at her collar and then stood by the bed, stretching her body forcefully.
Then there was just the front left.

Chapter 19
Caitlyn glanced at Leon, who was still facing away, not moving. “Turn around. I need to finish this quickly and go to sleep.”
Even fighting with him never made her this tense before; it was kinda exhausting.
Leon still didn’t move, muttering, “I can do the front myself. I can reach…”
Caitlyn frowned. “We’ve come this far, and you’re still not satisfied after I’ve done everything for you? Turn around! Stop being so shy; are you a woman
or am I?”
Léon couldn’t take it anymore when he heard that, his face red, grabbing a pillow and hugging it to his chest before glaring at her.
As a virile man, having abstained from porno for quite some time, it was quite something to suddenly have her touching and caressing him like that.
Her fingers were sliding all over his back, his pants getting pulled down, half his butt exposed…
‘No way would I be this embarrassed now if not for her touching!‘ Leon cursed inwardly.
Caitlyn looked at the guy in front of her with a puzzled expression, not understanding why he was clutching a pillow to his chest.
Without much thought, Caitlyn grabbed the scissors, her face set in a stern expression, and moved closer to start removing the bandage.
Leon’s lashes fluttered as he gazed at the face close before him, the faint flesh peeking from her slightly open neckline, causing his breathing to unconsciously deepen.
The nice smell from her was like a tidal wave rushing towards him.
He swallowed unconsciously, tilting his head back while trying to calm down.
Caitlyn naturally noticed his odd behavior. Though shy with a burning face, she teased, “Weren’t you pretty nonchalant just now? Why such a big reaction now?
“I thought Lord Radford was immune to women.”
Leon didn’t respond, clenching his fists and pressing the pillow tighter.
‘Take the pillow away, and it’s your turn to scream!‘ he retorted inwardly.
Caitlyn glanced at his well–built body, feeling the distinct lines of his abs and chest muscles. She bit her lip and forced herself to focus on the wound.
Once she started treating it, those wicked thoughts gradually faded.
Leon quietly sniffed her faint scent, his gaze lingering on her serious, pretty face, his eyes meaningful.
“Straighten your back, and can you get rid of that stupid pillow? It’s blocking my hand.” Caitlyn suddenly patted his arm.
Leon straightened up, releasing one hand but still tightly holding the pillow with the other.
Caitlyn furrowed, looking up at him with a puzzled expression. Just as she was about to say something, she noticed his unusually flushed cheeks, the way he unconsciously avoided her gaze, and the look of embarrassment on his face…
Suddenly, it hit her, her eyes widening slightly as she stiffly looked down at the pillow, her cheeks visibly turning red, like a crab being boiled red.
‘What? I was just helping change the dressing, just being a considerate friend, yet this fool’s got those dirty thoughts… she cursed inwardly.
Caitlyn gritted her teeth, feeling an overwhelming urge to toss down everything and storm out. But when her gaze fell on his unprocessed wound, she
hesitated.
‘You gotta finish what you start.’ Helplessly, Caitlyn closed her eyes and took a deep breath, feeling her body temperature drop slightly. Well… It’s understandable that he can’t control himself around such a stunning girl like me.”

Chapter 19
After finishing everything and checking other areas to make sure they were fine, she rewrapped the bandages.
With a long sigh, she slumped into the chair, staring at Leon weakly.
Seeing he was still hugging his pillow, she couldn’t help but smile, then thought it was weird and gave him an annoyed look instead.
“Alright, I’m going to bed…” With that, Caitlyn picked up the first aid kit and was about to leave.
It felt odd to be in a man’s room until late at night doing close contact stuff.
Leon stared at her with lowered eyes. After a moment of silence, he suddenly said as she turned around, “Wait!”
“What? Want more fun while you’re hurting?” Caitlyn narrowed her eyes, clenched her fists, ready to give him a good beating if he tried anything else.
‘Hmph… With his injuries not fully healed yet, even Leon wouldn’t stand a chance against me,’ she thought.
But Leon, with his head lowered, avoided direct eye contact, speaking softly as if fearing to be disliked. “Could we do that again at noon?”
“Noon…” Caitlyn gradually came to her senses, staring at him blankly. In the dim light, her eyes flickered, and a smile suddenly blossomed at the corner of her lips.
She raised her hand and placed it on his head, her eyes drooping as she gently stroked his hair.
The light was faint, and the tenderness was subtle.
‘Well… Sometimes, he’s kinda cute,‘ she said inwardly.
After messing up Leon’s hair, she left, strolling out with light, playful steps.
Leon lay on the bed, seemingly oblivious to the lingering pain in his back.
His eyes were filled with confusion, and he slowly raised his hand to block the light, his brows slightly furrowed.
However, there was no trace of the previous melancholy and gloom in his eyes now. Instead, there was a mild sense of confusion and doubt, along with a faint, almost unbelievable hint of delight.
“Time to sleep…” he muttered.
