Arwen’s thoughts were of no concern to Leon.
Being a TA didn’t stop him from hunting to make money anyway.
What he cared about Suddenly, Lean’s brain froze for a second, “What do I care about?‘ he wondered.
Ha mind went blank for a while.
The Ekavine Academy had been in session for over a month, but squeezing Caitlyn in wasn’t a big deal.
She’d start classes next work
As the Demon Lord wished, super easy, decent pay too
The negotiation went very smoothly. Caitlyn smiled as she stood up to leave. Glancing back, she saw Leon staring blankly in a daze, his eyes vacant, lost in thought
She parsed her lips, frowned slightly, her eyes filled with concern.
“Did he got his head bashed in or something? Soomed sharper than this before… she thought.
“Let’s go eat,” Caitlyn called softly
Lean blinked, his eyes instantly clear. “Alright!”
He was hungry again, perfect timing
“You two wanna hit the cafeteria? I’ll treat.” A
Arwen offered.
Leon glanced at Caitlyn, and she looked back at him. They exchanged a look, then nodded in unison.
That
was to save a bit. After all, their finances were pretty tight.
The Ekavine Academy was huge, with a whopping 32 cafeterias. One could eat at a different one every day of the month and still have some left over. Almost every cuisine on this planet could be found here.
Arwen led them to a small, tucked away cafeteria. Not many people came here, but its food was top–notch in the entire academy.
They found a corner seat, and Arwen pushed the menu over with a smile. “Feel free to order, just try not to waste anything”
Leon and Caitlyn started browsing the menu together.
The variety wasn’t particularly extensive, but judging from the pictures, they all looked quite impressive.
Leon whispered, “We both pick a few. So we can try more, yeah?”
Caitlyn rolled her eyes, complaining, “Come on. Don’t act so uncool, like you’ve never seen the world.”
She paused, then quickly tapped a few dishes with her slender fingers. “I have this, this, and this. You get that one!*
Leon turned to look at her.
Caitlyn humphed, crossed her arms, and looked out the window.
A smile flickered in Leon’s eyes as he marked the menu and handed it back to Arwen

The acting principal was giving them a knowing smile right now.
She didn’t believe the two who were once on completely opposite sides could have a great relationship, but now, she could help but admire inwardly, ‘Oh, they are so sweet!”
“Are you two planning to settle down in Ekavine from now on?” she asked.
“After working so hard for so long, now that I’ve finally retired, of course, it’s time to enjoy my golden years. Anyway, I’m not going back. Let whoever wants to deal with the mess in the demon realm handle it.” Caitlyn took a sip of her orange juice, speaking coldly
From the start, the Demon Lord’s position was forced upon her Demon Lord
Unfortunately, that position wasn’t exclusive to her. But that white–haired guy ran off to Ekavine early on, and with the family’s dire straits, she had no
choice but to take up the mantle of the Demon Lord.
Then, when her strength was enough to ignore those guys, she went along with Leon’s plan and allowed herself to be defeated, stepping down from the
throne.
Leon was silent for a moment before replying, “I just want to be with her.”
Still being wanted, he didn’t have much choice.
Caitlyn gave him a subtle look, while Arwen’s smile widened even more.
Leon was a bit stunned, realizing his words might have been misinterpreted, his checks slightly heating up as he explained in a low voice, “I still owe Caitlyn money… quite a lot… probably.”
“I get it. I get it. Arwen’s laughter was even

Caitlyn looked down at her drink, remaining silent, but inside, she felt like she’d been hit by a bull, feeling oddly flustered.
She quietly took a deep breath and sneaked glances at Leon, secretly firming up her

‘How could it be? It definitely couldn’t be. He was just suddenly abandoned by everyone, left with only me as someone he knew, which is why he came to

‘And I offered him a hand, which is why he seems a bit dependent on me now. Plus, he really does owe me a lot of money, so of course he can’t leave until it’s all paid off!
“Yeah, that’s it! There’s definitely no weird thoughts going on… she thought.
She glanced at Leon again, but couldn’t help feeling a bit unsure.
‘Shouldn’t be possible… right? After all these years of fighting, how could he really like me? Just a temporary alliance, that’s all…
Not daring to dwell on it further, just as the first dish was served, Caitlyn grabbed it and started eating, trying to suppress her wandering thoughts.
Leon stared at her blankly, murmuring to himself, “Wait, she’s so hungry? This dish was my choice. Caitlyn didn’t say she wanted it!
He picked up his fork and took a small bite, putting it in his mouth. “Forget it he thought.
Caitlyn was left even stiffer from his sudden action, only slightly relieved when she noticed the unfamiliar dishes on the plate.
The two of them ate until they were full
Arwen was super satisfied too, personally seeing them off until they left school

Back home, Caitlyn still felt a bit messed up.
Leon noticed something was off with her, but didn’t ask much. He just thought it might be that monthly drop in energy that girls went through.
Caitlyn flopped onto the sofa, and her slippers flew up like little fish before plopping back down with a thud.
Leon’s eyes landed on her pale pink feet. He couldn’t believe it.
She was the Demon Lord, yet her soles were so smooth and soft, like they’d never walked on solid ground.
“How can someone’s feet be so smooth? So delicate that they could be eaten raw with some seasoning. Or for those with certain tastes, a little sweat would make them even more irresistible. Leon was lost in thought
Soon, he pulled his gaze away and silently poured himself a glass of water.
“Yeah, I swear I wasn’t fantasizing just now! And I definitely don’t have any weird foot fetish going on. Absolutely not! I prefer big boobs in porno. Uh, nope, I don’t watch that stuff at all.

Turning around, he saw her lying on the sofa and staring intently at him with half–lidded eyes.
“You said we were friends earlier, right?” she asked.
“Hmm…” A hint of unease rose in
Leon as his hand tightened around the cup unconsciously.
‘She still hates me after all,” he said to himself.
Caitlyn pursed her lips firmly, locking her gaze onto him with utmost seriousness. “Alright! Remember this! We are friends, and absolutely nothing more than that. Do you understand?
Her emphasis on “friends” seemed to stress something important.
Leon let out a sigh of relief and gave a slight smile. “Okay,
friends.
Seeing this, Caitlyn also relaxed visibly.
