“Save me, Dexter! Are you even a man? Just for Blythe, you’d rather kill your own child?” Heid struggled on the ground, her voice trembling with desperation.
Dexter crouched down, slowly pulling out his phone.
“The child is mine? Then tell Blythe, how come, just seven months after that one night between us, your baby is already eight months along?”
I stood frozen, stunned by the scene unraveling before me. I couldn’t speak.
“Impossible! Don’t listen to that bitch Blythe’s lies! My baby is seven months!” Heidi still tried to cover up the truth.
Dexter let out a laugh. “Seven months? I must’ve been blind. I used to think you were so innocent, like some untouchable artist. Now? Should I pull out those photos of you messing around with old men overseas? Your name’s already in the dirt, and you still have the nerve to crawl back to me? Hoping I’ll fix your mess?”
८
“They’re lying! Don’t listen to them! Dexter, my belly, it really hurts!”
Heidi’s face went pale, and more blood streamed down her legs.
Behind us, I noticed the staff in a panic, already rushing to make an emergency call.
“It hurts? Maybe you should’ve remembered you’re pregnant before rolling around this morning with that filthy old man!”
Dexter pointed his phone at her face. From where I stood, I couldn’t see the screen, but I could hear everything. Heidi’s moans mixed with a strange man’s vulgar insults. It wasn’t hard to imagine what they’d been doing.
She froze, clutching her belly, her body trembling. “You were spying on me?” she asked, her voice shaking.
“Otherwise, did you think you really deserved to live in that house? Why do you think I let you rent that exact place? So you could sneak around with that old man and I could catch your
red–handed.”
“You knew? You planned this?”
Sweat streamed down Heidi’s face as she winced from the pain, but she held back her anger and
begged again.
“I didn’t have a choice. My father forced me! I had to help pay off the family’s debts… Ambrose Corporation is on the brink, and you refused to help! He was going to sell me!”
“But the baby’s innocent. Dexter, it’s all my fault. Please, save our child…”
Dexter turned to me, his voice urgent.
“Blythe, don’t believe her. That child isn’t mine. I never touched her. She drugged me that night!”
“Dexter, take her to the hospital first!” I said, pushing him aside and rushing to help Heidi.
I didn’t want to be part of their filthy mess. Heidi was cruel, but she didn’t deserve to die in front of me, and that child was innocent.
“I don’t need your fake sympathy! You took my money. You should’ve vanished! Do you think—‘

Even in pain, Heidi still had the strength to curse me.
Furious, Dexter kicked her again.
“You dare use money to humiliate Blythe? That dirty cash you earned from crawling into bec with old men? Still denying you drugged me? I had the nanny slip those pills into your milk, for six months!*
Dexter looked like a demon unleashed, face contorted in rage.
“You’re crazy! You drugged me for months? That explains everything, the baby’s movements they slowed down! Dexter, you’ll die a horrible death!”
Heidi shrieked and fumbled, trying to grab her phone to call for help.
“That’s right. I’ve known all along the child wasn’t mine. The moment I saw Blythe at the airport, knew. But I turned back because of your pregnancy. That baby never had a chance. I almost had Blythe back. You and that thing inside you deserve to die!”
Dexter looked down coldly at Heidi, who was trembling as she tried to make a call.
The moment it connected, her voice cracked like a wounded animal.
“Hubby, I’m bleeding! Dexter found out about us, he’s going to kill your precious son! Please, save me-*
You filthy whore! How dare you call me!” a woman’s voice exploded through the phone.
Heidi clutched her belly and didn’t even dare make a sound after that.
‘Calling that pig Zayn? Weren’t you two scheming to steal Laurence Corp’s bid? Too bad. already sent the video of you two to his wife.”
‘In return, their company pulled out completely. Don’t worry, Zayn will be reunited with you soon. His wife’s suing him, demanding repayment for every penny she ever spent on you.”
Dexter crushed her final sliver of hope without mercy.
So what? Dexter, don’t forget, I’m still your legal wife! Even if we divorce, I’ll make sure you pay!”
Heidi hunched over, blood pooling beneath her. Pain contorted her face. “Take me to the
ospital! We can talk divorce later. Even if I cheated, you won’t make me leave empty–handed!”
>exter smirked, pulling out two divorce papers and flinging them in her direction. Then he turned o me, eyes filled with a tender warmth.
I filed for divorce the day after we married. Blythe, I never lied, I never loved her. She thought aving a child would keep me from leaving. Instead, I used her pride against her and quietly had he lawyer handle it all. She signed it herself, no complications. Blythe, please forgive me…”
