If she really decided to dig deeper, she might’ve found that some things weren’t all that different from what she imagined.
But thinking about it now, Aurora couldn’t help but wonder if she was being ridiculous.
She wasn’t living in some dramatic novel.
How could something so theatrical possibly happen to her?
And Tessa was someone she had known for as long as she could remember.
They had grown up together.
On that front, Aurora still had unwavering certainty.
So, what reason did she have to doubt?
She gave a slight shake of her head, trying to fling those bizarre thoughts out of her mind.
She needed to let all those nonsensical and tangled–up suspicions go.
She definitely couldn’t bring it up in front of Grace.
What if her mother’s health couldn’t handle the shock?

Thinking that, Aurora eventually shelved the whole idea.
She headed straight to the bathroom for a shower.
The day had left her completely drained.
From the office to the hospital, then back to the office again, and finally home at last

After such a long day, all she wanted now was to lie down and rest.
