Lucas stepped in to block her path, reluctant to let her leave. “But I spent all that time cooking. Can’t you at least try all—> Besides, food out there isn’t as safe as what I make at home.”
Aurora calmly pried his hand away. “No need. Even if it’s not as safe, at least I can eat in peace without all this noise and mess.”
Her words were pointed, and both of them understood exactly what she meant.
Even Wendy, as slow as she could be, couldn’t miss it this time.
The one responsible for all the chaos was clearly her.
