F YOU WOULD LET ME CONTINUE!” I yell and they quiet down again. 1 understand that the majority of year strongly dislike the Royal Pack. But this is the only way to win. I will not force you to join me, but I encourage you to think about your options. The enemy plans to destroy us, then move to the royal pack to destroy that and rule the werewolf race. If you wish to stay please come see me so I can figure out what needs to be done. “I nod my head once and everybody starts looking around at each other.
Maxwell steps out and begins to speak.
“I trust you to make the right decision for the safety and wellbeing of your pack. You are my alpha and I will follow you where you go.” He says, putting a hand over his heart and kneeling. My eyes went wide with this action, but before I could grumble at him to get up, the man beside him knelt, then Esmorelda, Regina, Kaden, Kibard and Leviticus and the rest of my council.
“I agree.” They all say as they kneel. One by one my whole pack agrees and kneels after the last person dropped, I couldn’t help the tear that slipped from my eye. When I feel like a sh*t alpha and like I could do more, be better, I need to remember this.
Iris’s shocked face looks around at all of the people kneeling before me. Ingrid has a huge smile on her face as she looks around.
“Thank you all, but you know how I feel about people kneeling for me. Please stand up. I understand that with this news some of you will have questions. Please come to me if you have ANY concerns or questions. You all know that I am always available and will make time for you. We will be leaving by tomorrow morning, sc please come see me before then. Other than that go and start packing, we don’t know how long we will be gone for, so go ahead and plan for a while. Bring what you think you may need.” I say and everyone raises. They all start to head to their homes and my council stays behind, along with the twins, Marie and Linc. The girls go and hug their mother and introduce her to their mates.
I let them have their moment as I walk towards my council.
“Do we truly know this is the right move?” Kibard, an old fae asks and I see the rest nod their heads in agreement.
“I saw the future as did Ingrid. The only way to win the war is to join and train in the Royal Pack.” I answer and he nods his head.
“The King agrees to host all of us? What about the eclectic amount of people in the pack? Has he guaranteed safety in his pack?” Leviticus, the vampire elders asks.
“All valid questions. He has agreed and guaranteed his pack will not be a problem. I believe he is meeting with them today as well. We are all able to stay in the castle extension which will be like our own pack house. “I answer and they all nod their heads in a worrisome manner.
“I know you’re worried, but this is what we need to do.” I reassure them.
“As we said. We trust you and your decision. You would not willingly put your pack in harm’s way.” Maxwell says and they all voice their agreement this time.

“Maxwell?” I hear from behind me and see Inte running toward us, then almost tackles Max
sobbing. “I thought you and your pack were destroyed. What are you doing here? How is this possible asks, still sobbing, but pulls away from him and stares in disbelief.
“It’s a long story, but to shorten it. Alpha Evan came to help when we were attacked. Half of my pack was destroyed and I stepped down as Alpha, asking her to take me and my pack. To have us join hers. I’ve been here since.” He says smiling.
“You two know each other?” Tali asks and Iris nods her head frantically.
“He was a childhood friend. We grew apart when I found my mate. Goddess rest his soul.” Iris says, looking at the sky sadly.
“While you two catch up, I need to go to the packhouse and ensure there isn’t a line of people waiting for me. I say and nod the rest to the leave and let those two have some time alone to catch up. They follow behind us just at a slower pace.
When I reach the packhouse I see that there is a line of people waiting for me that goes out the door, and down to the town square. I sigh and look back at the people who were still behind me.
“You all go ahead and pack. I will be busy for the foreseeable future.” I say and they all nod their heads. Iris’s eyes go wide when she sees how many people are waiting for me.
“You’re going to talk to all of them?” She asks and my brows knit.
“Of course.” I say, confused on why she asked the question.
“It’s just that all the Alpha’s I know just are a do as I say type of person. I have never seen one willingly speak to each of their pack members, like you are about to do.” She says in surprise.
“Well. We are a bit different here. I gained my title through respect, not fear.” I say and I hear a scoff from the side and look to see Linc making a face.
“I mean you are scary as hell though. That helps.” Linc says and I smile, shaking my head.
“Only to you.” I say and Linc and Marie both shake their heads.
“You may pride yourself on being kind, but if somebody f*cks up.. You’re scary as sh*t.” Marie says and I smirk and shrug my shoulders.
“Maybe people shouldn’t f*ck up then.” I counter and she laughs.
“Yeah. Maybe.” She says clasping my shoulder. “You should get to it. At this rate we won’t be ready to leave in the morning, maybe a week, once you speak to them all.” Marie says and I shake my head.
“I’ll see you all later.” I say as I head to my office to begin my one on one with the pack members who need it.
