Eleanor’s expression froze as she met Kenneth’s angry gaze.

“She was the one who spoke rudely first!” Victoria reacted quickly and shouted immediately.
“Are you okay?” Kenneth ignored her and turned to look at Marianne.
The finger marks on Marianne’s cheek were like a brand, showing how hard the hit had been.
Kenneth’s fists clenched subconsciously, and the blue veins on his hands bulged as if they might break through the skin in the next second.
Marianne ignored the pain on her face. Seeing Kenneth’s furious look, she reluctantly comforted him, “Kenneth, I’m fine!”
The corner of her mouth pulled at the wound on her face, and she couldn’t help but let out a light breath.

“I said it’s such bad luck to know you two!” Kenneth raised his voice. “What the hell is wrong with you guys? I can’t get rid of you no matter how hard I try!”
“Kenneth, you are really going too far!” Victoria was so angry that she was shaking all over. “Do you have to speak so harshly?”
“Apologize to her!” Kenneth’s breathing was heavy, and he glared at Eleanor.
Eleanor paused. Although she felt guilty for a moment because of Kenneth’s appearance, it was still impossible for her to apologize.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Kenneth tried his best to resist the urge to hit Eleanor. “Wasn’t it just you two who came to Marianne’s store and made things difficult for her?

“We didn’t make things difficult for her!” Victoria refused to accept the accusation and argued, “We just wanted to have a good talk with her, but this woman is like a firecracker!”

Victoria’s eyes widened when she heard this. “Why can’t we? Don’t go too far!”
“You guys just keep talking about the same things. Don’t you feel tired at all?” Kenneth held Marianne’s hand as she helped him calm down, shaking his head gently to indicate he was alright. “If I haven’t forgotten, I have already announced at school today that I broke off the friendship with you!”
“Kenneth, calm down,” Eleanor said, trying to save her image.

“What else could it be?” Eleanor asked subconsciously.
“Since you really don’t know, let’s talk with Harriet and find the root of the matter,” Kenneth said without hesitation.
“You!” Eleanor paused again.
