Chapter 10
The next second, the two men started fighting.
“Stay away from my girlfriend!”
Jasper fought fiercely. I was afraid he might hurt someone too badly and end up taking the blame for that shameless man.
“Alright, alright, stop fighting!”
I stepped in and quickly stood in front of Jasper.
“No more fighting. I’ll feel terrible if you get hurt.”
Jasper gently squeezed my hand.
“Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to me.”
Only then did I breathe a little easier. Theo stood off to the side, bruised and holding his face staring at me like he couldn’t believe what he saw.
“Zara, you…”
“How could you already be in a relationship? How could you fall in love again so soon?”
I couldn’t take it anymore.
“What do you want from me, Theo? Haven’t you done enough?”
“You were the one who cheated. Now you’re the one who regrets it. But all this pestering just makes me sick.”
“We’re divorced. If I want to date someone, that’s my business. What does it have to do with you?”
“Some people cheat even before marriage and now you’re judging me for falling in love?”
Theo looked at me, completely defeated.
‘No, I don’t believe it. You must be lying to me!”
Seeing that he still wouldn’t give up, I grabbed Jasper by the collar and kissed him deeply.
‘Is that enough for you now?”
Theo’s face twisted with pain. He held his head and cried like he had nothing left.
“Why?”
‘Zara, why are you treating me like this? After all these years, do you really not care at all?”
I looked at him coldly.
“Are you done playing the devoted lover?”
“Then leave. Right now. Theo, you’re nothing but a shameful part of my past.”
I couldn’t believe that the man I had once loved so much could fall this low.
After that, Theo kept trying to see me, but I cursed him away every time. Until I finally said, “If you bother me again, I’ll get married tomorrow.” Only then did he finally stop.
But the next day, I really did go to register my marriage with Jasper.

At our wedding, Theo collapsed on the floor for a long time.
Watching my smiling back, he realized he would never get me back.
He eventually returned to the US.
After that, I barely heard anything about him.
Until one day, he found out the truth that I had really been pregnant that year.
And that’s when he completely broke down.
Not long after, he used a rope to end his life.
By then, I had already stepped into a brand–new chapter.
