Chapter 27 The Real Culprit.
After she spoke, Rachel left the elevator and walked away alone.

But this time, Janice did not follow her out. Her gaze dimmed and she felt a lingering sense of fear in her chest. The gaze Rachel had given her just now gave her an inexplicable sense of
unease.
She took a deep breath to calm herself down.
Since Rachel had already come back alive, what she had to do was simply to ensure that she did not give Rachel any chances when it came to the title of being Mrs. Jenkins.
She needed to marry Zane as soon as possible.
Rachel obtained the remaining footage and recorded testimony from the hospital that year from Harry.
Harry said, “These took me quite some effort to obtain. I’ve rewatched the footage and testimony many times. There was no clear photo of the motorcycle, and the rider was wearing a helmet. Even when we tracked his whereabouts using all the CCTV footage of the roads then, he went to the outskirts at some point and we completely lost track of him.”
Pausing, he asked, “Rachel, did you see the culprit’s face at the time?”
Rachel shook her head.
Harry asked again, “Are you sure you heard him call Zane at that time?”
She nodded.
Harry asked, “Don’t you find it strange?”
When Rachel heard this, she looked up at him. Harry analysed the situation. “If it was really Zane who did it, how could he have let the culprit call him in front of you to tell him their plan was successful? What if he hadn’t killed you? Wouldn’t that just bring trouble to himself?”
As he fell silent, Rachel fell into contemplation.
Harry explained, saying, “Rachel, I’m not trying to stand on Zane’s side. It’s just that after you told me about the rider’s behaviour, I felt like it was very suspicious. I think someone else hit you and even deliberately framed Zane.”
Because of Harry’s words, Rachel fell into contemplation again.

If one analyzed it this way, there were indeed very obvious issues.
Harry continued. “However, we have no evidence right now and the culprit cannot be found. So, it’s a bit difficult to find the real murderer”
It’s not that difficult.”
Hmm?” Harry took a sip of his tea and looked at her curiously.
Rachel said, “I didn’t die and I came back. If that person really wanted me dead at first, now that he knows I’m alive, he will definitely try to attack me again.” She paused for a moment before continuing. “As long as we wait a little longer, the news of my survival will spread. I believe he will catch wind of it.”
“Rachel, are you planning on taking that risk?”
“I have no other choice.”
But now she was conflicted.
If Zane was not the true killer, then her plan…
No, perhaps, only by getting closer to Zane can she make the true culprit appear.
In that instant, she recalled someone in her mind.
“What are you going to do next, Rachel?” asked Harry suddenly, interrupting Rachel’s thoughts.
She replied, “I’ll keep investigating as I work. If my guess is correct, he will definitely show up.”
“If you need my help, just let me know, alright?”
Rachel smiled brightly. “I happen to have something I need your help with.”
Rachel had asked Harry for a way for her to personally meet up with Daisy at the detention
centre.
Daisy was still curious about who would want to visit her as she was being brought out.
When she saw that Rachel was the one sitting on the other side of the glass window, her expression tightened and she bit her lip as she sat down.
Rachel sensed guilt from Daisy the moment she saw her stare at her.
It was clear that she was hiding something.

Daisy, no matter what, we have spent two years together after all. Witnessing you having to stay in jail at your old age makes me feel sad for you.”
