Davis continued impatiently. “If you promised to work with TN Group, you can just teach Zane a lesson in the process, right? That’s two birds with one stone.”
Rachel couldn’t help but chuckle at Davis‘ words.
“It doesn’t matter if anything goes wrong, I’ll always have your back. I only hope for you to achieve greater results, Rachel. When you accomplish something no one else could, even if you make mistakes, no one will dare to refute you. Also, Zane even called to hint me at it. What a clever kid.”
Rachel realized why Davis‘ call seemed so timely after she heard that. It was because Zane personally gave Davis a call. She calmly responded, “I understand, Mr. Riley.”
“Good, think about it carefully.”
Hanging up the phone, Rachel returned to her seat with the proposal Jordan had given her in her hand. “Your idea is very innovative, and I am indeed interested, Mr. Yates.”
Jordan could kind of tell the underlying meaning of her words.
“I wonder if there is a chance for me to work with you then?”
Rachel made it clear to him. “If you’re willing to wait for some time, I’d want to participate in this project.”
Jordan gazed at her softly and smiled. “Of course I’m willing to wait. I admire your capabilities a lot, after all.”
“If that’s the case, I can promise you that I’ll definitely participate in this project in the future.”
Jordan replied with a gleam, “I’ll look forward to it.”
They became close after the meal they had together.
After saying goodbye to each other, Rachel got into the car.

Rebecca just got off a phone call. She stared nervously at Rachel who was sitting in the passenger seat. “Rachel, Mr. Jennings just called.”
“What did he say?”
“He asked if you have decided who to work with.”

Yes, I did. I’ll work with TN Group. You can start preparing the agreement now.”

The moment she finished speaking, she placed her phone to her ear as she answered a call. Then, Colin’s voice came through the phone. “Mr. Jenkins said that we agree to the additional terms in the agreement, Ms. Freeman. Can we proceed now?”
“Does the additional 20% on top of the previous terms still count?”
“Yes.”
“Alright, you can inform Mr. Jenkins that we can sign the contract now.”
Colin was clearly taken aback when he heard that.
He didn’t expect Rachel to give in so quickly this time. Could it be because of the video call Zane had with Davis?
Almost immediately, he replied, “Okay, I will inform Mr. Jenkins now.”
After Rachel hung up the phone, Rebecca couldn’t help but ask in curiosity, “Did you have some personal grievances against Mr. Jenkins before, Selena? Is that why you do this?”
“Yes.”
Rachel’s answer was exactly what Rebecca had expected.
Rebecca really admired Rachel for being so bold. “So, have you avenged him, Selena? Is that why you agreed to work with him now?” she asked bluntly.
Rachel pondered in silence. Her plan should be almost done. She guessed that someone had started to feel uneasy by now.
After all, even if Davis didn’t call, she would still decide to work with Zane.
Zane was trying to cover up for someone and brushing things off. If that was the case, she would find another way to get her revenge.
Moreover, she wanted to seek revenge for how Zane wanted to end her life back then.
“Yes.”
Rebecca then changed the subject. “There’s still plenty of time left until you have to sign the contract. Is there anywhere you want to go, Selena?”
Having been back for around three days, Rachel had already taken care of everything that needed to be done for now.

She remembered that there were two good friends of hers she wanted to visit. Thus, she searched for a studio on her phone and said, “Let’s head here then.”
After Rebecca looked it over, she started the car.
“Are you going for a photo shoot, Selena? Timeless Studio is quite a popular photography studio nowadays. It might be difficult to get an appointment now, though. Do you want me to help you figure out a way to get an appointment?” Rebecca said as she drove.
Just as Rachel was about to reject Rebecca, a white BMW suddenly appeared before them.
“Watch out!” she shouted, grabbing the steering wheel and turning all the way to the right for Rebecca.
