“Yes!”
Chris clenched his fists, raising them high. Excitement started to stir within him.

Nick looked up and adjusted his sunglasses. “Lhope you’ll keep the confidentiality too, Uncle Chris.”
“Of course, don’t worry about it,” Chris assured, raising an eyebrow. “Now let’s go, we should get off the plane now. Hold my hand and no running!”
The two of them gave each other a look out of his sight as if they were exchanging information only they knew.
That evening, Rachel received a call from Zane, asking for a meet–up.
Rachel was well aware of his efficiency in handling matters, especially when his house was where the incident had occurred. Besides, she knew how important the project was to him.
She deliberately used what he cared most about at the moment as an excuse, forcing him to investigate the incident by any means necessary.
Rachel refused to take the blame for something she didn’t do. Thus, she would find ways to prove her innocence no matter how long it would take.
Later that night, she met Zane in The Regency Lounge.
Upon her arrival, Colin escorted Rachel to the private room. She saw Zane sitting on the couch, with someone standing beside him. Rachel instantly recognized the person. It was Daisy, the maid who worked in Zane’s villa.
However, this wasn’t the person she wanted to meet.
Then, Daisy whimpered as she walked toward Rachel. She grabbed Rachel by her arms and pleaded, “I was the one who did it, Ms. Freeman. I thought my daughter could replace you after seeing how Mr. Jenkins had no feelings for you. But I didn’t expect you to drink that bottle of wine by mistake, and…”
Rachel stared coldly at her. “Your daughter was underage at that time, Daisy. I understand how much you want your daughter to replace me, but don’t you know that you will get Mr. Jenkins into jail if what you did is exposed?”
Furrowing his brows, Zane lit a cigarette with a grim expression.
“I… I didn’t think much at the time,” Daisy stammered. “Anyway, I was the one who was

However. Rachel knew very well that even if Daisy had intervened, she was not the mastermind behind this.

She glanced at Zane, who was silent all this time, and inwardly sneered. She knew that he was covering the truth.
“Does Daisy still work for you, Mr. Jenkins?” Rachel asked.
“No, she was fired,” he replied.
“Great, I wouldn’t want to do something that makes you think I don’t respect the Jenkins family.” With that, she took out her phone. “So, Mr. Jenkins, since you have found out it was her who did that, I believe you already have evidence of it. Could you do me a favor and hand the evidence to the police?”
Daisy was flustered after hearing what Rachel had just said. “How could you bring up the police, Ms. Freeman? Even if I meddled with it at that time, you both were still a married couple back then, right? It’s natural for it to happen between husband and wife.”
Rachel immediately shot her a glance. “That doesn’t matter. As long as I feel it was forced, it can still be considered as a nonconsensual sex.”
A scowl crept across Zane’s face upon hearing that.
“Please, Ms. Freeman, spare me for the sake of my old age.”
“Colin, turn her over to the police.” Zane felt his head hurt as he listened to Daisy’s cries.
He only wanted to talk to Rachel alone now.
Colin then forcibly took Daisy away. As the door closed, Zane approached Rachel, “Forced‘, huh?”
“Did I get that wrong?”
Zane let out a derisive chuckle. Rachel looked up before he could say anything and stared into his eyes. “Don’t you owe me an apology, Mr. Jenkins?”
