The man’s face turned pale. Zane’s attitude when saying these words was clear. He only believed what his ex–wife said.
The man swallowed hard. His heart was racing with fear. Then, he explained weakly, “Mr. Jenkins, we really didn’t speak ill of you. We came here because Mr. Freeman invited us. Otherwise, how could we possibly be involved with this kind of…”

Zane picked up the bottle of wine on the table and smashed it toward his head. The man fell to the ground rolling around in pain.
“Do you not understand human language, or do you really not understand what I’m saying?” Zane was completely in a violent mood at that moment. His expression showed impatience and anger.
He glanced around, coldly leaving a sentence. “Since you were invited to come for a drink, then drink to your heart’s content. Colin, keep an eye on them as they drink. Whenever the restaurant closes, they can leave.”
With that, Zane grabbed Rachel’s hand and left the private room.
The men inside were dumbfounded. Who didn’t know that this restant was open 24 hours
a day? Zane clearly intended for them to drink to death.
Rachel, who was forcibly taken out, did not resist at all. She let herself be taken to another empty private room.
She was pressed against the wall, not intimidated by Zane’s hostility. Instead, she casually grabbed his tie. “Mr. Jenkins, this isn’t very appropriate. We are divorced. If you suddenly. want to rekindle our old relationship, Ms. Bailey will be heartbroken.”
Zane stared at Rachel, who was charming and alluring. She no longer had the pure and innocent appearance that she had seven years ago.
“If you’re not dead, then why did you deliberately fake it?” Zane’s eyes were burning with anger as he slammed his palms against the wall on both sides of Rachel. “And why did you come back now of all times?”
Rachel chuckled lightly. “That’s funny. You and me are done for ages. Whether I’m dead or not, or when I come back has nothing to do with you. Or are you disappointed that I’m not actually dead?”

Rachel’s finger pressed against his chest, her body leaning closer. She whispered, “I’m still your ex–wife. You better be careful. If a scandal gets out, Ms. Bailey might end up sick with anger.”
As she finished talking, Rachel left a lip mark on Zane’s tic before he could react.
“Rachel!” Zane grabbed her wrist, anger flashing in his eyes. “Aren’t you’deliberately going on blind dates with those men just to disgust me?”
Rachel smiled, but her gaze was cold and indifferent. Her feelings for Zane had been long gone seven years ago. Now, all she felt was hatred and disgust.
“Touch me again, and I’ll call the police and report you for harassment, Mr. Jenkins.”
With that, she shook off his hand and walked out of the room.
Unexpectedly, another surprise came–Janice Bailey, Zane’s lover. When she saw Rachel alive and standing before her, her mind went blank with shock. When she saw Zane coming out from the private room as well, she almost lost her balance.
Forcing herself to stay composed, she put on a happy and surprised expression. “Rachel, you’re still alive?”
“Yes, I’m alive and well.” Rachel smiled meaningfully. “I’ll leave the two of you husband and wife to enjoy your meal.”
These words undoubtedly struck Janice’s heart. She and Zane were not even married. Seven years of effort had yielded nothing.
Janice looked at Zane, whose gaze was still fixed on Rachel. She bit her lip and suppressed the uneasy feeling in her heart. Janice walked to Zane’s side as if nothing had happened, linking her arm with his. “So Rachel isn’t dead after all. Zane, you can finally let go of your worries.
