Chapter 11
Ash was trying to take all the blame upon himself.
But the moment he spoke, Rianne had already guessed who the real culprit was.
“Ash, even after everything that’s happened, you’re still protecting her?” Rianne felt her heart
bleeding.
Ash’s dark eyes trembled, but he insisted: “I’m not protecting anyone. I’m the mastermind behind
this.”
“Then why didn’t you admit it from the start?” Rianne pressed. “Why did you put on that righteous
act, pretending to help me track the signal source…”
“Now that the source is found, you suddenly confess. Isn’t that suspicious?”
Ash lowered his gaze, his handsome face filled with restraint.
He bit his lip and, despite knowing his excuse was full of holes, stubbornly continued: “I was faking
it.”
“I offered to help track the signal to cover up the truth and prevent you from discovering I was
behind it.”
“But I didn’t expect you to distrust me and bring in two more hackers to work with me.”
“I couldn’t keep up the act. Rather than waiting for them to discover the truth and expose me publicly, I’d rather admit it myself–at least that preserves some dignity.”
After hearing Ash’s explanation, the guests began murmuring among themselves.
“Did Ash really do this? It doesn’t seem like him.”
“Something feels off. He seems to be covering for someone…”
“But who would Ash take the fall for? Who’s that important to him?”
Listening to their speculations, Rianne couldn’t help but smile.

Chapter 11
They didn’t know who Ash was protecting, but she did. In this world, only one person could make Ash abandon his principles, disregard consequences, and fight to protect at all costs.
“Ash, you think by taking all the blame yourself, I’ll let that person off the hook?” Rianne said coldly. “After how she humiliated me, do you really think I’ll let her walk out of here unscathed?!”
Pain flashed in Ash’s eyes: “Rie, please, I’m begging you. Let this end here.”
“If you drop this, I’ll do anything you want!”
“You love me, right? I’ll marry you. We can get married right away…”
Before Ash could finish, Rianne burst into laughter: “Hahaha, I can’t! My stomach hurts from
laughing.”
“Ash, what gives you the confidence to think that after everything, I’d still want to marry you?”
Ash’s dark eyes quivered: “Rie…”
But Rianne didn’t give him a chance to speak. She cut him off: “I don’t love you anymore. You and Sophia disgust me!”
