Just as Marie opens the door and we are entering I feel the pain of a million fire ants all over me and stumble into Zane who curses and clutched his chest.

away and begin quickly limping to the door. Just as I move to pass through another fire starts in my leg and shoots up to my entire body.
“AH! Sh*t!” I yell as I stumble to and trip down the damn dirt stairs. I land in a heap as Marie curses. And looks at the arrow embedded in my leg.
“You’ve been shot.” She says and I grunt.
“Oh thanks for pointing that out. How did I not notice the pain? Or you know the damn thing sticking out of
my leg.” I remark and I feel the pain worsen as she yanks the arrow out roughly.
“Let’s go limpy.” She says as she hauls me up and helps to distribute my weight. “Goddess you weight a f*ck ton.” She grits.
“I got him.” Zane says and comes up to my other side.
“No, stick to the plan. You are with Evan and this giant boulder is with me. She can heal faster with one of
you there.” Marie orders. Zane looks at me warily and I nod my head to tell him I’ll be okay. He must decide I
will be because he heads down the tunnel Evan went.
We make our way through the maze and the stench begins to grow more disgusting as we go. My leg has
healed slightly, with my Alpha healing, but my adrenaline is taking over so Marie lets me go and we begin to
walk faster through the tunnel. Still on alert for anybody else down here. We make multiple turns and I have
no idea where I am. We come to a skidding halt when we turn a corner and see three guards leading towards the dead end hallway.
They have weapons drawn and one shoots fire at us that we narrowly dodge.
Screams erupt from the only door and my heart beats faster.
“Transport behind them, I’ll take care of the guards if you can take care of whoever is behind the door.” Marie
says and I nod.
We turn the corner again and I feel the heat of the fire lick my skin right before I transport to the end of the
hall. I hear a strangled cry from behind me as the stench of fried flesh begins to fill my nose.
Since I’m so lucky today, I try the door and it is locked.
“Son of a b..” I begin, but am interrupted.
“Here!” Marie yells as I turn, keys are being thrown through the air towards me, while he is in mid sword fight with the two men. I don’t question it, just grab the keys and unlock the door. As soon as I step in, I pause, my
heart in my throat.
Ziana is being held with a knife to her throat and the veins in her neck are black. Her eyes are wide and tears are streaming down her blood soaked face.
“Found her.” I minklink Zane. I see the look in her eyes and know that my only chance is to transport behind this man and tackle him, or rip his/heart out. I am okay with either option.
“KILLIAN NO!” Ziana screams right as I begin to dissipate.
Ziana’s POV
I scream as Killian transports but doesn’t reappear.
“I told you it would work sir.” Ned says from the corner of the room.
