Chapter 10
Rianne didn’t trust Ash. Fearing he might manipulate the evidence, she asked her father to bring in two other hackers to track the signal alongside Ash.
“Rie, you don’t trust me?” Ash’s pupils quivered, and for the first time, his inscrutable eyes revealed a wounded expression.
“That’s right, I don’t trust you,” Rianne said coldly. “And you don’t deserve my trust.”
Ash silently clenched his fists, but quickly relaxed them. “Fine, you’re upset. I won’t hold it against you. I’ll prove my innocence and win back your trust.”
With those words, Ash opened a laptop and began tracking the electronic signal source of the leaked photos and video.
Strings of green code flashed rapidly across the screen as Ash typed with unprecedented focus.
The other two hackers were also diligently typing, but their skills and speed were no match for Ash’s.
Soon, Ash located the hidden signal source buried within the mass of information. His eyes flashed, and his lips curved slightly upward: “Found it!”
Everyone gathered around, curious to see what was on Ash’s screen. But the screen was filled with green code that meant nothing to most of them.
‘Ash, what does this mean?” Mr. Lockhart asked, confused. “Who’s behind this?”
Ash’s expression suddenly froze. He stared at the last line of green code, his face turning ashen.
Laypeople might not understand, but anyone familiar with hacking could immediately see that the inal line represented the perpetrator’s current location, the model of phone used, and the method by which they had remotely controlled the projector to display those photos and video…
Ash’s face turned paper–white. Before the other hackers could look closer, he quickly closed his
aptop.
‘No need to continue!” Ash announced loudly. “I already know who’s behind this.”
As he spoke, he strode forward and unceremoniously snatched the laptops from the other two

hackers.
“Ash, what are you doing?” Rianne angrily demanded. “Give those back to them!”
She stepped forward to retrieve the computers, but Ash caught her hand.
“There’s no need to investigate further,” Ash said. “Because…”
He paused briefly, then looked up, giving Sophia–who was hiding in the crowd–a long, deep look.
Then he quickly turned back to Rianne, his face filled with remorse: “Because I’m the one behind
this.”
“Rie, you were right… I did it all!”
