Chapter 230 Cringefest
Of course, he couldn’t take it.
“Alice, I’m here to make you a deal. I’ll take care of the hotel issue for you. In return, sell me the hotel.
Alice shot him a surprised glance.
Gary wasn’t exactly known for having a sharp mind.
Buying Global Hotel right now? That was a risky move.
But it was one that could bring in insane profits.
She narrowed her eyes slightly. “Whose idea was this?”
Linda immediately stepped in front of Gary.
“Alice, don’t interrogate him like he’s a criminal.
“These past few months, all the brothers have been worried about you.
“You know that ever since you got married, you’ve barely come home.
“Do you really want to cut ties with the Spencer family?
“Even if you’re cold–hearted, your brothers still care about you.

“You know the Spencers are low on funds. But they’re still willing to take over the hotel to ease your burden.
“That way, you can hold your ground in the Nolan family. They won’t dare look down on you again.”
Linda’s voice started trembling, tears slipping down her cheeks.
“Alice, you can be tough, but your brothers truly care about you.
“Please… stop being so stubborn.”
Gary glanced at Linda, startled.
He used to think Linda was being selfish. She knew people from the Reeses, yet she refused to help.
Later, he realized she’d been raised with too much pride. No way she’d lower herself to beg her boyfriend.
After talking it through, they decided not to blame her anymore.
Charlie even said Linda had gone to great lengths to help Spencer Group.
So, the five brothers forgave her.
And when she cried again, they felt like maybe they’d been too harsh on her all along.

Earlier today, Linda returned home and brought up the hotel situation.
They all knew what kind of person Alice was.
They knew she didn’t care about the Spencer family.
But Linda spelled out the pros and cons–and Gary agreed to give it a try.
“Linda.”
Gary sighed. “You don’t have to lower yourself like this.
“We’ve always seen you as the little one. We always tried to protect you.
“I didn’t expect you’d take on all this for us when you didn’t have to.”
Linda broke down again.
“Gary, don’t say that. The Spencers have done so much for me!”
Alice rubbed her ear, visibly annoyed.
Honestly, watching a movie would’ve been more comfortable than this cringefest.
Linda’s performance was painfully awkward.
“You two carry on. I’m leaving.”
She didn’t even bother to spare them another glance.
“If you walk away now, no one else is going to help you! Alice, are you really cutting off the Spencers for good?“.
His expression had gone dark.
If it weren’t for the business potential, he wouldn’t be offering his own money to buy the hotel.
Alice had something to say.
But just then, someone familiar appeared in the distance.
It was Levi.
Risa had already announced the cast for her new film.
Levi was on the list.
That sparked quite the controversy online.
But Levi didn’t say a word and just casually posted raw footage from the audition.
The internet went dead silent.
After that, brand deals and offers flooded in..
Now Levi had both popularity and acting chops–undeniably A–list.
“Ms. Spencer,” he greeted as he walked up, ignoring the other two entirely.
Alice raised a brow. “You’re not busy?”
Levi chuckled. “I am, but nothing’s more important than your business.”
As he finished speaking, Kaleb stepped forward and handed her a card.
Kaleb said earnestly, “Ms. Spencer, there’s 200 million in this account. It’s Levi’s savings from recent projects.
“Please don’t feel pressured. If you don’t want it, consider it an investment from him.
“And don’t stress about the hotel stuff. If you need help managing the media–just say the word. We’ve got
whole team for that.”
a
Alice looked at the card, her lips curling into a faint smile.
“I don’t want your money. Take it back.”
Gary and Linda looked like they’d just been slapped.
They were just saying no one was willing to help her.
And boom–someone literally showed up offering a fortune.
Talk about embarrassing.
Kaleb looked a little awkward too.
“Ms. Spencer, Levi wouldn’t be who he is today, without your help. We mean it–let us return the favor.
“Please, just accept it.”
Levi took the card back.
“I didn’t think you’d turn me down. But even if you do–Ms. Spencer–I’m investing anyway.”
