Chapter 796
Seeing how proud he was, the officer actually grew curious
“Alright then, tell me your name and your family background. We’ll have someone reach out.” He had dealt with many people before, but it was his first time seeing someone this arrogant. Even now, with things as they were, this guy still clung to his identity like a badge of honor.
The officer was genuinely curious to see just how impressive this background really was.
Julian lifted his chin. “You better listen carefully. My family owns the Hayes Group in Ravenshore. My father is the chairman of the company.
“If you don’t believe me, go check. I’m their only heir–there’s no way he won’t come to get me out.
“How dare all of you treat me like this.”
He lifted his cuffed wrists and snapped, “Just wait. Once my dad finds out, none of you will get away with this.”
The officer fell silent for a moment.
He had expected something more impressive.
But it turned out this guy was just riding his father’s coattails.
Nothing special at all.
And judging by the look of it, his dad probably didn’t even know he was locked up.
The officer wasn’t fazed in the slightest.
‘He remembered what the chief had said earlier.
He might not know Julian’s father, but he sure knew his own boss.
And an officer who didn’t follow orders wasn’t a good officer.
He had a clear sense of where he stood.
“Sure, want me to contact your father for you?”
Julian’s eyes lit up. He had just been thinking about how to get in touch with his dad.
Now, hearing the officer offer–it felt like a gift.
This could be his chance to finally tell his father he was stuck in this place and needed to be rescued immediately.
“You’d really do that?”
Julian asked half–skeptically, a flicker of hope rising inside him, though something still didn’t feel quite right.
The officer nodded. “It’s just notifying your family. You do have that right.”
Hearing that, Julian finally felt at ease.
“Go ahead then. My dad’s number is…”
The officer didn’t hesitate and made the call right away.
For something this minor, there was no need to report to his superior–he might even get scolded for it.

Seeing how things were unfolding, Tessa finally felt relieved.
She decided to just wait and see.
After all, Julian’s parents were still prominent figures in Ravenshore.
Dealing with a small police station like this shouldn’t be much of an issue.
This kind of matter was usually easy to resolve.
The fact that they actually ended up in the police station had genuinely shocked her.
She still didn’t know what was going on with these people.
But thinking back, it was probably because Lucas had some other friends who had been pressuring the officers not to let them out.
Thinking that way, something still felt off.
Why did Lucas know so many people?
Tessa never understood why so many were willing to follow him.
He was clearly just a pretty boy–what was so good about him?
She really couldn’t understand these people sometimes.
Still, even if she didn’t understand, one thing was certain they were only being treated this way because of Lucas. Aside from that, Tessa couldn’t think of anyone else.
