Chapter 745
Once Megan finished getting ready and was about to head out, she finally noticed something off about the weather
outside.
Her roommate kept trying to stop her. “Megan, look at the sky–where do you think you’re going in this weather?”
“I’m going to the Crestford professor’s lecture,” Megan replied, casually brushing it off.
She was usually pretty carefree and didn’t think much of the storm.
To her, this just looked like typical pre–rain weather.
Her roommate, however, was clearly unnerved.
“With the weather like that, how can you still think about going out? This isn’t the time to act tough!”
Megan scratched her head. “But I have a friend waiting for me at the auditorium. I have to go.” Her classmate looked at her with frustration. “Can’t you just send her a message?”
“Come on. Just look outside. We should all stay in. Don’t even think about going anywhere.”
“Exactly. There’ll be other chances to hear the lecture, but you only get one life.”
Everyone around her was trying to stop her.
Megan had always been on good terms with her classmates.
She was the kind who shared whatever she had and got along with everyone.
That was exactly why they couldn’t just stand by and let her walk into danger because she had always been good to them, they genuinely cared about her.
“Megan, please don’t be stubborn. No matter what you say, we’re not letting you leave today.”
Seeing how firm they were, and how some of them were even huddled nervously in the corner, Megan finally started to waver.
She was beginning to realize that something really wasn’t right.
This wasn’t just her imagination anymore.
She stopped thinking about going out and quickly sent a message to Aurora, telling her to be careful and get out of there if she could.
Whatever she did, she shouldn’t linger outside.
The weather had turned dangerous, and Megan was terrified Aurora–being her usual stubb self–might still be sitting in the auditorium waiting.
If she didn’t go, then what would Aurora do all alone?
The thought of it made Megan so anxious, she nearly burst into tears.
She stood frozen for a long time before her trembling fingers finally managed to type out a message to Aurora.
“Are you still in the auditorium?”
“Go back to the dorm and stay there–don’t hang around. It’s really dangerous outside right now.”

“Even if you don’t reply, just promise me you’ll stay safe. nd somewhere safe to hide and don’t wander around.”
She sent the messages one after another, and though it gave her a slight sense of relief, it wasn’t much.
She didn’t know why, but her chest felt tight with uncase.
Her heart was beating faster than before.
“Aurora, please, just stay safe.”
Meanwhile, Aurora was still holding her notes, completely unaware of what was happening outside.
The auditorium’s excellent soundproofing meant she couldn’t hear a thing from beyond its walls.
And with the thick structure and all the lights still on inside, she remained fully immersed in her own little world.
Her phone was always on silent.
Unless she picked it up to check the time, she rarely noticed new messages.
Even with her talent, everything she had achieved was the result of relentless effort.
