Sure enough, she saw clearly that the moment Megan walked into he alley, those thugs appeared like starving wolves spotting fresh prey.
Megan was still smiling from having just petted a kitten, completely unaware.
The second she saw the sinister smirks on those men’s faces, her expression shifted into high alert.

“Who are you? What do you want?”
She wrapped her arms around herself, taking a few steps back.
But those men clearly weren’t about to let her off that easily.
“Don’t be nervous, Miss. Since you’re already here, why don’t you have a little fun with us?”
Megan shook her head quickly, fear creeping into her heart.
She was just a middle schooler–how could she not be scared by something like this?
“Are you after money?”
Trying to steady herself, she spoke calmly, “I have money. I’ll give you everything I have on me.”
The thugs exchanged a glance, clearly surprised by how direct she was.
And from the way she was dressed, it was obvious she came from money.
But still, she was just a kid–how much could she really carry?
Their hesitation only lasted a moment.
They quickly remembered the money promised by the person who had sent them.
As long as they finished the job, there would be no end to the cash
