5 Unmasking Alice
Chapter 105 Unmasking Alice.
Everyone suddenly understood.
“That really opened my eyes!”
“She’s not some spoiled rich girl; she’s our lucky star.”
“God bless her–hope she loses it again tomorrow.”
Alice was in a good mood too, at least until the Spencers called.
Honestly, Alice didn’t want to answer, but they were annoyingly persistent.
She got so fed up she finally picked up.
It was Scott on the line.
Her face said it all–she was impatient.
“Make it quick. Thanks.”
Scott had a lot he wanted to say, but her words shut him right up.
He actually went silent.
That annoyed Alice even more, and she hung up on him.
But it wasn’t long before Scott called again.
Alice thought about blocking him, but remembered she still had unfinished business with the Spencers. In the end, she swiped to answer.
“I just want to ask you one thing,” Scott said.
His voice sounded like he was trying hard to stay calm.
Alice urged him again. “Hurry up.”
Scott seemed to gather all his courage.
“What’s your relationship with the racing legend Quantum?”
Alice rubbed her forehead.
When she raced overseas, she almost never showed her real face.
Eugenia wouldn’t allow it.
That “racing legend” title was basically a hot potato.
“No relationship,” she said firmly.

“But if you ever find this person, introduce me, okay? I love racing. I’d like to see how good this racing legend‘ really is,” she added.
Scott was afraid she’d hang up right away.
“No way!” he practically shouted at the top of his lungs.
“There’s no way you don’t know her! You can pull off her signature moves and even–”
“Please.” Alice cut him off. “It’s just racing. It’s all about speed. At that speed, there are only so many things a car can do. Why act like it’s some personal trademark?”
Scott was at a loss for words.
“You’re really not Quantum?”
Alice asked, “If I did say I was Quantum, how many benefits would that get me?”
Scott hung up on her right then.
Alice let out a cold snort and went back to playing her game.
At the Spencers‘ residence, Boston and Linda came home to find Scott sitting on the couch smoking.
All five Spencer brothers smoked, but they knew Linda hated the smell, so they never did it inside the house.
Today, Scott wasn’t just smoking–he’d smoked a lot.
“Cough, cough.”
Linda choked on the strong smell and started coughing hard.
She rushed to open a window and switched on the ventilation system.
The heavy smoke in the living room finally started to clear out.
“Scott, are you okay? Why are you smoking in the house?”
Linda’s voice was gentle. Soft and soothing–easy on the ears–but inside, she was nervous.
Gary’s attitude toward her had already changed a lot.
He still cared about her, but there was something missing in the way he showed it.
Then there was Charlie.
Charlie was the CEO of Spencer Group–the family’s financial backbone.
He used to spoil her unconditionally, but lately, even he had grown a little distant.

And now Scott was actually smoking at home, forgetting completely how sensitive she was to the smell.
How did things end up like this?
Linda didn’t even know when things had started going wrong.
“Sorry.”
Scott finally snapped out of it and tossed his cigarette into the ashtray.
“I was just lost in thought. I didn’t mean to ignore you.”
Linda spoke up right away. “It’s okay, Scott.”
Boston was a little curious.
“Scott, if you’re having trouble with something, just say so.”
Linda followed up on that. “Yeah, Scott, we’re family. Don’t be a stranger. If you’re struggling with something, tell us so we can figure it out together.”
Scott remembered his doubts, and his mood sank again.
Even though Alice had denied it, he couldn’t shake the feeling that she was connected to Quantum.
And at the hospital, he’d seen Alice’s combat skills.
If she’d wanted Linda dead that day when they went to pick her up, she could have easily killed her.
They’d all thought she was just some naive country girl, easy to manipulate.
In reality, they were the clowns, putting on a show for her amusement.
“I think…
He spoke slowly, “Alice might be Quantum.”
Linda didn’t know much about Quantum, but Boston knew exactly who he me
Quantum was practically a legend in the racing world–a star thanks to the mystery and the impressive driving skills.
“No way.” Boston immediately scoffed.
Linda didn’t really understand, but watching the two of them, she realized they were seriously wondering if Alice was some big shot.
