Chapter4
Ziana’s POV
“Lunch time.” Mother says and I force a smile.
“Ziana, please behave.” Warrick tells me again and I grit my teeth in annoyance. I’m not a f*cking child.
“Sure thing.” I say as I turn to leave. He growls his disapproval, but he and mother follow me into the dining room, where everybody has been seated. There are only three seats left, the King and Queen’s at one end of the table and at the other end, one next to Alpha C*nt, whose beady eyes are on me.

“F*cking great.” I mumble under my breath as I feel a nudge in my ribcage. I look to see mother is giving me a ‘behave‘ look and sigh as I make my way to the end.
Mother and Warrick don’t like Alpha Clint either and I tried to tell them what I found when working for Franklin. They told me that there isn’t any evidence, so they can’t do anything.
I take my seat as lunch begins to be served. Looking around, I see that there are 7 packs here with Alpha’s and Luna’s, 8 with just their Alpha’s, and 6 who are the unmated Alphas. I see Addie in the middle of the table fidgeting as a Luna asks her if she has any plans over the summer.
“Princess Ziana, you seem to be growing well into your role.” A woman’s voice says from across the table. I face that direction and I see that there is a young Alpha Sebatian across from me. His dark blue eyes intently on me. To his left is Alpha Camilla, whose dark blue eyes are on me as well, she is at the end of the table.
To my right is Alpha Clint, and to my left is Luns Eloise who is speaking with Alpha Cameron across from her. I focus back on Alpha camilla and see that she is waiting patiently for me to respond.
“Um. Yes, ma’am. I have been taking my training very seriously.” I say.
She doesn’t have to know which training I mean. I had the royal training shortly after I arrived, and excelled in it. Basically to be a presentable ‘princess‘ I was to be a docile little shrimp who says yes to anything anybody says. Complete opposite of who I am, but I know how to play an act.
Except last year, when I got drunk before the alpha meeting meet and greet, showed up late and not so eloquently ate lunch, grunting in response to people. I cringe at the memory.
Yeah maybe, the first impression I gave the Alpha’s last year wasn’t the best.
“That is good to hear. Do you have any plans for traveling? I remember at the ball you were speaking to your friend about a trip.” She continues and nod, slowly chewing on the baked chicken that was placed in front of me. She was either close enough to us at the ball to hear or nosy as hell. I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was close to us.
“Yes. Actually we are planning on going on a road trip around all of the continent. There are many places we want to see.” I say and she beams,
“Oh wonderful. You just have to go see the dark canyon. It is such a beautiful place. If you are and there I would highly recommend it.” She says with a dreamily look in her eyes. Oh I like her. She didn’t insist that I
come visit her pack which is what any other Alpha would do.
“I’ll take a note to look into it. Thank you.” I say sincerely.

Chapter4
“While you are traveling you should come visit my pack. We would be happy to host you. Alpha Cant says from beside me. I hold my face from showing my disgust, but Alpha Sebastian must see something because he chokes out a laugh, then covers it as a cough.
“I would recommend the Soaring Mountains. They have a 5 mile zipline that is full of fantastic views Sebastian says, redirecting the conversation and I decide I like him too.
“That sounds lovely, Alpha Sebastian. I will look into that as well.” I say with a smile, then turn my attention back to my plate. We all take a few bites of our food, relishing in the honey garlic chicken.
“So. Princess Ziana. Have you found your mate yet?” Alpha Sebatian asks and I nearly choke on the piece of chicken I am swallowing at the question.
“No. I have not, Alpha Sebatian.” I answer and he smiles sadly. I see a small hope sparkle in his eyes. My body stiffens as Alpha Camilla says something, but I am unable to register what is said, because of the meaty hand that is squeezing just above my knee.
“I suggest you take your hand off of me before you lose it, Alpha C*nt.” I say darkly. My darkness is creeping in and I feel the electricity building at his touch. He squeezes his hand tighter and growls.
I take a deep breath, trying to dispel the darkness, but it won’t go away, not with his hand there.
“Are you threatening me?” He growls, squeezing harder and I’ve had enough. Grabbing my fork, I slam it into his hand as he roars and pulls it away, fork and all. I get up and stare down at him. I know my eyes are glowing, but I don’t care.
“If you EVER touch me again, it will be the last thing you do. You piece of sh*t.” I spit at him and walk out of the doors as quickly as I can.
“Marie.” I say this through our mindlink.
“I will meet you there.” She answers, not even asking where. This has happened so many times I have lost
count.

Busting through the door to the training room in, the castle I have a sword thrown at me and I catch it by the hilt, immediately blocking an attack from Marie.
“Want to talk about it?” She asks, dodging a strike. I grunt as she elbows me to push me back.
“No.” I grit and she nods, followed by a strike that I dodge.
