“We can leave now.”

At 200 million, almost no one dared go higher.
Eric raised his paddle to 210 million and won the mystery box.
The private room on the second floor instantly became the center of attention.
Alice stood at the front, and when the lights hit her, she suddenly caught everyone’s eyes.
She wore a mask, so her true identity remained hidden.
But Linda clenched her fists tight.
If I’m not mistaken, this is the woman from the restroom.
I didn’t expect her to have that kind of cash.
To bid 200 million like it’s nothing.
My near–breakdown in the restroom now seems ridiculous.
Her only comfort was that everyone wore masks and didn’t know who was who,
But as she left, a server ran after her.

So people in Mapleford can tell who I am just by those facts?

That fox–masked woman–she didn’t record me, did she?
If that got out, how could I face anyone?

She tried to sound calm and friendly.
The server said, “This is for you.”
Opening her palm, the server showed the third ink.
Linda froze.
She immediately guessed the/server was her suitor who bought the ink just to please her
Though it would be better to give the heritage painter more inks, Linda only cared about the Twelve Muses and thought that there was no need to hand over everything.

She took the ink, looking it over carefully.
The server hesitated.
“Oh, no, no, you got it wrong. This isn’t from me–it’s from a lady
The server took a deep breath and quickly explained, “She said your makeup might be cheap. but you shouldn’t just smash it around. So this ink is a gift–to stop you from breaking more stuff at home.”
At first, Linda thought someone wanted to team up with the Spencers or use them.
Maybe they found out who she was and wanted to cozy up with the ink.
Everyone here was a big deal, so she wasn’t shocked about the risk of being found out
She was more curious about who this big shot was.
But when the server finished, Linda’s face went pale.
She immediately thought of the fox mask, the mocking look underneath.
