Chapter 116
Evangelina’s POV
I made my way through the hospital speaking to all of the admitted who wanted to speak to me. Before I go to see Ziana I stop by Marie’s room. When I walk in Tali is helping her put a jacket on.
“You’re free to go?” I ask and they both pause to look at me. Marie smirks.
“Yes. It will take a lot more than a bear chomping down on my leg to keep me from helping.” She answers and
I shake my head.
“What happened?” I ask and she shivers.
“Well after Tali found me we captured the attention of four fae, a bear and a wolf. Ziana came from seemingly somewhere and killed the fae in one swing. Pretty bada*s. Anyway while I was distracted, watching her the bear bit my leg, shattering my femur. A transport came and took me to the hospital. One of our fae pieced the bone back together and now it is healing pretty well. They said that It will take about a week to fully heal.” She explains and I just listen.
“Well I am glad that you are healing well. Do you need anything?” I ask and she stands, leaning on Tali. “Orders. Where do you need me to help?” She asks, then looks toward Tali. “Well us.” She corrects. And I have
to think.
“We have been getting communication from packs and families about what they would like done with their deceased. If you two could filter through those and begin to handle that, that would be great. We are having a silent dinner and small ceremony tonight. Dinner starts at 7. So you should have about 2 hours to clean up and maybe some time to start going through the requests.” I say and they both nod.
We say our goodbyes and they head out, me making my way to room 102.
I walk into the room, surprised by the amount of people here. The one that catches my eye is an Alpha. He stands at the end of Ziana’s bed, holding a small bouquet of flowers.
“I wanted to pay my respects before I leave tonight. You two saved me and two of my warriors. Thank you.” He says bowing. To Ziana and Adria. Adria smiles as she accepts the bouquet the Alpha holds out.
“No need to thank us, Alpha Samuel. We only wanted to help and are happy that we were able to. Have a safe trip back.” Adria says and nods her head to him.
Alpha Samuel turns to leave, pausing when he sees me and bows.
“Luna Evangelina.” He greets as he passes by me to leave. Two warriors followed behind him.
I look around the room and see a pair of twins and many flowers sitting throughout the room.
“People feel the need to thank me and Ziana. She helped fight during the attack and I transported the injured back to the hospital.” She explains and I smile solemnly towards her.
“Thank you for your help. You two seem like a good team.” I say and she nods her head.
“We are.” She says, then leans her head down on Ziana’s shoulder.
“You are invited to our small memorial tonight if either of you would like to join us. I understand if you would

like to stay here.” I say and they nod.
“We appreciate it, but would like to stay here.” Lettie says, Adria agrees.
“Very well, if you change your mind you are more than welcome. I will try to stop by after, bring you both something to eat.” I say and they nod.
The rest of the night flies by. After the dinner and the small ceremony we went to the conference room to help Marie and Tali go through the requests. Henry, Iris, Nali, Linc and Sirena join us.
Sirena is less bubbly and more serious while helping. With all os the people helping, we finish in a couple of
hours.
“Thank you all for your help, please go rest. I will continue to make plans on the memorial and cemetery then update you in the morning as to who is to help with what.” I say and they nod their heads, all getting up to leave. Linc falls behind the group and turns to me, walking back.
I give him a curious look as he reaches for me and lifts me out of the chair, squeezing me tight.
“I love you.” He says as he holds me tight, I squeeze him back, enjoying his embrace.
“I love you too, brother.” I say, letting him go and gazing into his deep green eyes.
“We got her back.” He says and I nod.
“We did. Your little bundle of joy will have a cousin.” I say and he smiles. “Thank you for helping her after the attack.” I say and he scoffs.
“Don’t ever thank me for something like that. She is my family.” He says, serious and I nod.
“Go spend some time with Nali. I know she would like to be with you.” I say, gently pushing him towards the
door.
“Night.” He says, I respond as I close the door. Moving back towards Warrick, he pulls me on his lap and kisses my neck.
“Let’s focus.” I say slapping his arm and turning my attention to planning.
Soon morning comes and Warrick is sleeping in the chair. He fell asleep about two hours ago and I sigh as I glance over the plans. There are a total of 118 people who will be buried. The plans are to have a wall listing all the names lost, a flag representing which pack or coven they were from next to their name.
There will be a plaque that describes the events and thanks all of the heroes. The burial sites are to be dug today and so are the plaques. We are going to have wooden plaques with names and eventually replace them with stone headstones for each person. The ceremony will be held in two days. It will be a busy couple of
days.
