24 Chapter 24 The Cunning Mr. Song
Ji Ming still remembered that it was this girl who last night, upon learning that Mr. Song had sent her an umbrella, pleaded persistently to meet Mr. Song.
He had dropped her off at home, where she’d hopped through the doorway, buoyant as could be.

Hearing this, Tang Li gripped the bag a little tighter.
Noticing that she was finally a bit afraid of him, Song Baiyan smiled faintly, “Last night at the Lai Family, you were climbing balconies and causing trouble at the birthday banquet, and later making a fuss outside with Ji Ming to see me. I thought you were truly fearless.”
His gentle voice carried no hint of blame, yet it did nothing to ease Tang Li’s
tension.

Song Baiyan’s handsome eyes softened even more, “Do I need to come and pull your hand myself?”
“It’s not that,” Tang Li denied.
Beyond those two words, she couldn’t find a better excuse.
