Song Baiyan’s gaze fell on her left elbow, his deep eyes carrying a hint of warmth as he spoke with a tone that wasn’t distant: “Injured?”
Tang Li stood on the sidewalk, her right hand pressing on her elbow unconsciously tightening.
His gentle manner, whether it was his gaze or his voice, was like a warm current flowing into her heart, making her realize that no one had shown such pure concern for her since her mother’s death.
Tang Li hummed softly through her nasal.
Song Baiyan saw her lower her head, like a child who had done something. wrong, vulnerable and showing confusion.

“Did you fall?” asked Song Baiyan.
Tang Li noticed her dirty, dusty jeans.
The man’s concerned tone made her secretly guess, and she truthfully said: “I just got hit by a bicycle, scraped my arm a bit.”
