Tessa’s heart skipped a beat when she read the message.
She hadn’t expected those doctors to move so fast. Just who was her sister’s man?

How could he be this capable, possibly even more impressive than ulian?
That thought alone made Tessa quicken her pace unconsciously, completely unaware that she’d left the executive behind.
The executive was caught off guard. Why had she suddenly sped up like that?
He wasn’t young anymore; there was no way he could keep up with her.
Though frustrated, he didn’t call out–he simply made a silent note of it in his mind.
Once they were back at the office, he’d be sure to report this to the chairwoman.
This girl had no sense of decorum or respect.
His irritation toward Tessa deepened, especially when compared to someone like Aurora.
That contrast made it even harder to swallow.
Aurora wasn’t just competent–she was also courteous and respectful.
Every time she greeted him, it was with a warm smile that made people feel at ease.
Seeing her always lifted everyone’s mood.
But Tessa was nothing like that.
Even when she smiled, it felt forced, as if she were mimicking the expression without really feeling it.
There was no warmth behind it.
He sighed, silently hoping Aurora was alright and would be back at work soon.
With that thought, he pushed himself to walk faster, trying to catch up to Tessa before he completely lost sight of her.
If he fell too far behind, he might not even know which room Aurora was in.
By the time the two of them finally reached Aurora’s hospital room, they were surprised to find a crowd of foreign doctors ‘gathered outside.
Each of them wore a white coat and carried a stern, professional demeanor.
They were speaking fluently in a foreign language, their discussion intense.
“This is the first time we’ve seen something like this.”
“Exactly. A minor case of gastroenteritis wouldn’t normally cause someone to remain unconscious for this long.”
“There must be something else going on beneath the surface.”
“I understand what you’re saying, but what else could be causing it?”

They stood at the doorway, debating back and forth, but none of them had reached a clear conclusion about Aurora’s condition.
Tessa glanced around, anxiety beginning to creep in as she faced the group.
She couldn’t let anything slip. No one could find out the truth.
The executive beside her looked just as bewildered.
Who were these people? And why such a grand lineup?
As Tessa tried to walk forward, several of the white–coated doctors blocked her path.
“Who are you? What do you want here?”
Meeting their eyes, Tessa felt a sudden wave of guilt.
“I’m her sister. I just came to check on her.”
She reminded herself of her objective.
There was nothing wrong with what she was doing.
She even managed to sound convincing, like she and Aurora were incredibly close.
